How do I activate the add-in after purchase?

After payment, you'll receive an email from noreply@addlify.uk with your license key. Open Excel, go to Insert → My Add-ins → Upload, select the manifest file, then paste your key at the activation screen. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.

The add-in says my license is expired. What do I do?

If you have an active subscription, this is usually a temporary sync issue. Try the following:

  • Close and reopen Excel
  • Ensure you're using the correct license key (recover it at the recovery page)
  • Check that your Stripe subscription is still active
  • If the issue persists, email us at support@addlify.uk
Can I use the add-in on multiple computers?

Yes, within your plan's device limit (Solo: 1 device, Pro: 2, Cabinet: 2 per user, Enterprise: unlimited). Each device is registered to your license. To move your license to a new computer, a confirmation email is sent to the address you registered with — click the link and the transfer completes instantly.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime by contacting us at support@addlify.uk. Your access will remain active until the end of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

HMRC API call failed — what should I do?

HMRC's MTD endpoints occasionally return 503 or rate-limit errors, especially around submission deadlines. Our add-in caches your OAuth token and auto-retries with exponential backoff. If a submission keeps failing, take a screenshot of the error in the status bar and email support@addlify.uk — we usually identify the cause within an hour.

ANAF CIF lookup isn't returning results. Why?

ANAF's webservice is occasionally unavailable. Our system caches results for 24 hours, so if a CIF was looked up recently you'll see the cached data. If the CIF is completely new, please try again in a few minutes or contact us.

I didn't receive my license key email. What should I do?

First, check your Spam / Junk folder for an email from noreply@addlify.uk. If it's not there, use the key recovery page to have it resent. If you still can't find it, email us and we'll resolve it immediately.
